Comfortable but messy... / Diyan, CA11/4/2007 This featherbed IS very comfortable to sleep on. But...the feathers do poke through the bottom and when I pulled it off my mattress I had tons of feathers stuck in it. Took me a good 45 minutes to pick them all out. Too bad they didn''t use the same thread count on the underside as they did in the top layer to prevent the feathers from coming through.
fowl foul odor / jo, HI9/26/2007 This is a very comfortable feather bed. I had it on an air mattress and it was extremely cushy.
But the odor was hard to overcome!!!!!!! So I reluctantly sent it back even though the shipping is not cheap.
Too bad, indeed!
Feathers EVERYWHERE! / Vicky, FL9/23/2007 The pillow-top keeps the feathers from coming through and poking you while you sleep ... but when you change sheets and lift it, ohmygosh! There are feathers everywhere ... the mattress is covered with them. The quills come right through the cotton cover.
The pillows are great ... no feathers escaping ... too bad they didn''t they put the same material on the bed topper!
LQQKS CAN BE DECEIVING / MRS J, MI9/8/2007 Found it to be smaller than my mattress.
It is not as fluffy as it appears in the photo.
Although the goose feathers did not poke through the main area of the featherbed, they did poke through the sides...ouch.
Because of the smaller size, the featherbed never stayed in the center of the bed. It either went to one side or the other depending on movement. Furthermore, whatever side the featherbed favored, the other person got poked.
This item is definitely not worth $100.00
