I wrote a review regarding the fireplace and at that time the hearth was not available. I was very disappointed. Thought there should have been enough to go around. Finally the hearth became available and my husband put it all together. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews but can honestly say it's perfect. We love it. My husband is a commercial refrigeration mechanic and very handy. He also builds models and is a perfectionist. It is real wood as she says during the show, and all the pieces were included. I am so pleased. Really adds to master bedroom. The only thing I would suggest in the future is including at least one get can. That would be a perk!

Construction was a nightmare. Wooden dowels didn't fit, pre-drilled holes missing in places . . .I'm afraid I'm going to come home and it's going to be collapsed on the floor. If I can wrangle it back into the box, it's going back.

This hearth was just what I was looking for. Shipping was very quick, the quality at first glance looked good and it didn't appear that this would be tough to assemble. However...the "all wood" is a "type" of wood, MDF, the screws that were included were too short in a few areas of the assembly process which meant I had to search through junk screws to find screws that would suffice. After FINALLY completing the assembly, there were small gaps and no matter the tightening I did to the screws, the gaps still were and are still visible. If it wasn't such a hassle to take apart again and re-box, I would have returned it. Instead, since I had planned on painting it, I will be using caulking to fill the gaps before painting. This was an awfully lot of trouble for a "bargain". Pass this Mangano item on by or Buyer Beware and consider yourself warned!

Against by better judgment, after years of seeing all the terrible ratings Mangano's products have and wondering why HSN puts up with this, I decided to order this hearth. First, don't be fooled by "all wood" claims. Technically particle board and fiberboard are made from wood and can be "all wood". And this is what this thing is made of....and cheap board at that and all poorly constructed. One side panel was warped and had to be braced and forced into place. I had to improvise to fit this thing together to get it to look halfway decent. Only through my efforts did I get this to look acceptable enough to keep. One should not have to go through this. Certainly the price is way to high for this poor quality of merchandise. It is only worth about a third of the price. So follow my advice and avoid Joy's junk completely. She should have to answer for her misrepresentations and poor products. When will HSN learn that she is fleecing us. It makes you doubts HSN's integrity.
