I bought this set in gold to place around a orchid plant When it arrived I was so thrilled with what I got that I quickly bought 2 more for the bathrooms. The ''antiqued'' gold & silver finish is done so well! I guess some previous buyers don''t know about this look. Nothing is flaking off. The ''look'' is intended & usually to find this look you pay a LOT of money in high end stores. I couldn''t be more pleased with my super bargains!

This one is a mixed bag. Is it distressed or defective? Will the gold color continue to flake off? These will be nice in the garden and in a shell/bowl/clear vase for the bathroom, kitchen etc. Given the price they''re worth it.

Purchased these items for a gift so it is important that they are nice. Since they only coast $10 I was cautious. It was a great surprise to see that they are just as expected. Gold leaf effect is distressed somewhat giving interest to each shell. The leafing is on the pink side but that too is fine. I am ordering another set for myself.

These arrived packed very well, but there is more brown showing than gold! Not a good look! Very cheap looking.
