Creating a seating plan is a clever way to help balance the energy of your table. Think outside the box and add personality to your settings using fruit or vegetables - nature always provides.
Planning is key, so organize everything the night before you entertain. Select the linens, china, glasses and flatware you plan on using. Then use sticky notes to pair your menu with your service pieces.
Avoid being overly ambitious with your menu. Choose recipes that allow you to stay glued to the dining room chair, not chained to the kitchen stove.
Whenever you receive a bottle of wine as a gift, write the person's name on the bottle. That way, when you open it, you can either send them a note or, at the very least, drink a toast to them.
